Since 1994, Jim has focused on energizing and empowering learners through his university teaching, community activism and artivism, and teacher trainings.
His teaching and trainings rest on:
inclusion, collaboration, embodiment,
mindfulness, creativity, integrative learning,
experiential/interactive learning, empathy, the power of play
Jim holds a doctorate in Comparative Literature with an emphasis in race and gender studies in postcolonial African and African diaspora literatures.
He is a long-time diversity educator, teacher-trainer and inclusion-centered arts-activist.
